Reading background material for the AWI and discussions with a Wargaming buddy made me realise that India could be an interesting diversion to the Bier wars. Especially since Indus Miniatures made such lovely and exotic figs. With extremely poor pickings from the Ottoman Empire I decided to hold that project and pick some samples so I ordered a unit and waited to see what the figs were like.
Overall the figs are well sculpted, though a little less detailed than other later Mutiny period ranges. However they are prefect for the 1700's . The only problem is that whilst there are 2 poses of Sepoys, there are no command. However I picked a pack of officers etc from one of the other ranges and got stuck in.
I've also been busy writing a background as to why on earth a land bound European state would have a military presence in India.....
It's all about the Hoegaarden Staat Bedrijf Corporatie and their plans to sell Bier and replace Pale Ale!
More later!!
